SIMS On-Line Error Checking

These control on-line error checking as well as off-line audits using the SIMS Database Audits utility. Most of the checks use a "batch switching" logic in which all checks for a module can be disabled by disabling the primary checkbox.

It is strongly recommended that a full database audit be performed at once, should any of these cross-checks be modified, after SIMS has first been installed, to identify any inconsistencies that may have been introduced.

Cleared Facility Checks

If checked, enables container checks below:

Cleared Level >= Facility Level

The clearance level of the facility must be greater than or equal to the storage level of the facility. For example, a facility could not have a storage level of top secret with a clearance level of secret. Clearance levels are assigned "ranks" in the Clearance Definitions Utility. The higher the rank, the higher the clearance as treated by SIMS.

Storage Level >= AIS System Level

When an AIS record is created, check that the assigned facility’s storage level is greater than or equal to the AIS System Level. This error check is invoked if AIS Checks is turned on and the Verify Facility ID is turned on.

Cleared Personnel Checks

Clearance Briefed and not Debriefed

Special Access Briefed and not Debriefed
