SIMS On-Line Error Checking
These control on-line error checking as well as off-line audits using the SIMS Database Audits utility. Most of the checks use a "batch switching" logic in which all checks for a module can be disabled by disabling the primary checkbox.
It is strongly recommended that a full database audit be performed at once, should any of these cross-checks be modified, after SIMS has first been installed, to identify any inconsistencies that may have been introduced.
Secure Container Checks
If checked, enables container checks below:
Storage Level <= Facility Storage Level
If checked, the rank of a container's storage level must be less than or equal to the rank of the container's facility storage level.
Verify Custodian ID
If checked, verify any custodian granted access and perform any personnel checks required for container.
Storage Level >= Document Classification Level
If checked, the rank of a container's storage level must be greater than or equal to the rank of the document's classification level.
Note: Verify Container ID under Documents must be checked.
Validate Special Accesses for Documents
If checked, a container must have a special access for each special access required by the document for the container is to be used to store the document.
Note: Verify Container ID under Documents must be checked.
Verify Custodian ID and not Denied Access
If checked, verify the Custodian of the document has access to the container and the Denied Date field is empty.
Note: Verify Container ID under Documents must be checked.
Verify Combination Not Expired
If checked, verify that the combination date has not expired, prior to assigning a document to the container.
Contract Checks
If checked, enables contract checks below:
Clearance Level <= Facility Clearance Level
If checked, the rank of a contract's clearance level must be less than or equal to the rank of the contract's facility clearance level.
Storage Level <= Facility Storage Level
If checked, the rank of a contract's storage level must be less than or equal to the rank of the contract's facility storage level.
Clearance Level >= Document Classification Level
If checked, the rank of a contract's clearance level must be greater than or equal to the rank of a document's classification level if assigned to the contract.
Note: Verify Contract ID under Documents must be checked.
Validate Special Accesses for Documents
If checked, a contract must have an active special access for each special access required by the document for the document to be assigned to the contract.
Note: Verify Contract ID under Documents must be checked.
Documents against Contract's Documents Receiving Restrictions
If checked, a new document record must not violate any of the "In Performing This Contract, The Contractor" access options.
Forms Checks
DD 254 Classification Level <= Facility Storage Level
If checked, the rank of a DD 254's storage level must be less than or equal to the rank of the DD 254's facility storage level.
